Harissa Hähnchen nordafrikanisch scharf (Druckversion)

Würziges Hähnchen mit nordafrikanischer Harissa und Gewürzen. Schärfe individuell anpassen, ideal für jeden Tisch.

# Zutaten:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 boneless chicken thighs
02 - 2 teaspoons olive oil
03 - 3 tablespoons harissa powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
06 - 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
07 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice

# Zubereitungsschritte:

01 - In a small bowl, thoroughly combine olive oil, harissa powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice to form a thick and aromatic paste.
02 - Rub the harissa marinade evenly over the chicken thighs, ensuring all surfaces are well covered. Alternatively, combine chicken and marinade in a bowl or sealable bag and turn until fully coated.
03 - Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to develop maximum flavor. For best results, marinate for up to 4 hours or overnight.
04 - Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking tray or rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
05 - Place the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer on the prepared baking tray. Bake in the centre of the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 74°C.
06 - Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

# Hinweise:

01 - Adjust the spice level by modifying the amount of harissa powder and cayenne pepper according to individual preference.
02 - Marinating the chicken for a longer duration enhances depth of flavor.
03 - Harissa paste stores well in the freezer; consider making a larger batch for future use.
