Golden banana fritters with warm spices, perfect for a sweet snack or breakfast. Jamaican-inspired treat.

# Zutaten:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3 medium ripe bananas
02 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
03 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
05 - 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
06 - Pinch of salt
07 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
08 - Vegetable oil for frying

# Zubereitung:

01 - In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
02 - Add brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt to the mashed bananas. Sift the all-purpose flour over the mixture and stir thoroughly with a spoon until a smooth batter forms.
03 - Pour enough vegetable oil into a 10 inch skillet to cover the bottom and heat over medium-high heat until the oil shimmers.
04 - Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and edges are golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Flip and continue cooking until the other side is browned.
05 - Transfer the cooked fritters onto paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with honey.

# Hinweise:

01 - For optimal flavor and moist texture, select bananas with plenty of brown spots. Adjust the quantity of sugar based on sweetness preference.
02 - Serving the fritters warm enhances their appeal. A light dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of honey provides a finishing touch.
